money Poole Afloat boosts funds:
Sue Jo LP last weekend were kindly invited to Poole Afloat and then Cobbs Quay and they wish to thank the organisers for their support on behalf of Emergence-SKI and ChildLine. The events were an ideal opportunity for us to promote ChildLine and our challenge and we also collected £185 which we will be putting onto our 'Just Giving' page.
Revised dates for Emergence-SKI
Sue Baker team manager has announced that due initially to the fuel crisis and shortages the dates of the challenge have been revised to enable the team to support and attend the many more local and national fundraising opportunities to increase further the money that can be donated to ChildLine.
Tracey Edwards MBE Tracy Edwards MBE continues to support the Emergence-SKI event: July 2008
Tracy Edwards fully supporting the project and even though so committed to her CEOP(The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) role she has agreed to meet the team back into Poole on 11th October.
Second Emergence-SKI's arrive:
Jo and LP took possession of the second Emergence-SKI on Friday 6th June. Following it being "pimped" by Gem Grafix it will be seen out and about off the beaches of Poole and Bournemouth as the riders get some hours under their belts before the big off from Salterns Marina, Poole at 9.30am June 29th 2008 at which everyone is welcome.
Esther Rantzen CBE to wave off Emergence-SKI : May2008
Esther Rantzen founded ChildLine in 1986 and is now President of ChildLine and an NSPCC trustee. Esther will be at Salterns Marina, Poole on Sunday 29th June 2008 to wave off the team on their around UK Challenge. Esther will return on the 12th July to welcome the team back.

Jo takes possession of the first of the Emergence-SKIs from Mark Rowley and Maria Whitlock at BRP Recreational Products UK Ltd. This GTX 155 will be fitted with Jet Ski Track and Standard Horizon VHF DSC Marine Radio and will be autioned off following the event in aid of ChildLine.

Great support from Marinas : May2008
Emergence-SKI have recieved a fantastic response from Marinas all around the country offering their support when the team come ashore. Secured to date are the Royal Ramsgate Harbour, Royal Norfolk & Suffolk Yacht Club (Lowestoft), The Marine Activities Centre, Sunderland Marina and Queen Anne's Battery Marina (Plymouth). In particular the team have received good luck wishes from Sutton Harbour Marina (Plymouth) and Lucy from the Caledonian Canal Office is providing lots of advice for our transit through the canal system. A big thankyou to everyone.

Some members of the Emergence-Ski team are to be congratulated on achieving qualifications. Pete has passed his Coastal Skipper Practical and LP has passed her Yachtmaster Shorebased Instructors Qualification. Sue's had achieved success in her Certificate of Education. All this on top of working of Emergence-SKI.

Tracy Edwards MBEsupports the Emergence-SKI event: April 2008
Tracy won international fame in 1989 as the skipper of the first all female crew to sail around the world in the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race. We are delighted that she was able to help Emergence-SKI off to a high profile start.“This project is a truly mighty challenge and will support this crucial service for children” says Tracy.

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service agree to be Founder Sponsors April 2008
Dorset’s Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Nigel Williams, encourages Fire and Rescue Services Nationwide to support the Emergence-SKI team in their endeavour. The team will be welcomed into Liverpool on Monday 7th July and will help to promote the World Fire Fighters Games 2008

Barnaby steals the limelight April 2008
Earlier this week Barnaby and his friends, Bravo, Seb, LP and Jo attended Salterns Marina, Poole for a secret photoshoot. Barnaby took a start turn on the personal watercraft and the team were so pleased with the outcome he is to publish his own charity postcards. Postcards available soon.

Dorchester Middle School
Dorchester Middle School Pledge their Support April 2008
On the 23rd May 2008 pupils from Dorchester Middle School will be holding a non uniform day and raising money in support of Emergence-SKI. In recognition the Emergence-SKI riders will be paying the children a visit to thank them personally and to collect a cheque in aid of ChildLine.

Top performing Dorset Police has agreed to support the event to highlight the work it is doing to protect young people in the county. The support provided will not be in the form of money nor staff but will include resources that are not operationally engaged at any given time.
