Welcome to Ramsgate
Arriving 27th September

Ramsgate is a seaside town on the Isle of Thanet in east Kent, England. It was one of the great English seaside towns of the 19th century and is a member of the ancient confederation of Cinque ports. It has a population of around 40,000. Ramsgate's main attraction is its coastline and its main industries are tourism and fishing. The town has one of the largest marinas on the English south coast and Port Ramsgate has provided cross channel ferries for many years.

 

 

 

Emergence-SKI supported by Ramsgate - what's' On

Police Sergeant Rhiannan Simpson, Kent Police,has worked tirelessly to organise a fantastic start to the first leg of the Emergence-SKI challenge.

  • Dominic Evens, the Ramsgate Harbour Master is pleased to be berthing the Emergence-SKI RIB overnight and securing the team ski's.
  • Kent Police Marine Unit will endeavour to accompany the tired Emergence-SKI riders into their berths at Ramsgate.
  • Local Personal Watercraft owners are expected to be in attendance and add their watery welcome to the Team.
  • A fun fair with various rides is arranged between 1400-2000 hrs.
  • Police, Fire, Ambulance, MOD, Specials, Red Cross and Police Dogs re all attending to show their support for Emergence- SKI and ChildLine.
  • A Cadet band will be welcoming the Team in with tunes and music to mark their safe arrival.
  • PCSO's are busily attending local schools in their area in order to raise vital funding for ChildLine.
  • Kent Police are aiming to raise money by a "dress down" day.
  • Possible Night time Fireworks.
  • Surprise Celebrity attendance to meet the Team.
  • Local business to provide Hotel Accommodation for the Team.
  • PS 12212 Rhiannan Simpson of NHT- Thanet has secured accomodation and fish and chip suppers for the team
